Dear The Bug Genie users

                            My name is Daniel André Eikeland, I'm the creator of The Bug Genie. Starting in 2002 as a small bug tracker (named BUGS) for a single Linux distribution, The Bug Genie has since grown to become a great issue-tracking and project management platform for all types of software- and non-software-projects. The core team has varied in size - up to a band of four - but this last 6 months I've been the only developer actively working on the project.

                            Like any thriving open source project is supposed to have, there is a great community around The Bug Genie. Contributors are sending patches, changes, and improvements; a growing translation team is providing translations for (currently) 16 different languages in varying stages of completion, and we have an active user forum and chat channel. There are several hundred people dropping by thebuggenie.com every day, and we have several thousand downloads a month. I'm proud at what we've built together.

                            Is The Bug Genie valuable to your business? Do you use it on a daily or weekly basis? If we were to disappear tomorrow, would you miss us?

                            I've done my best to support the growth of it all and keep it going for almost 11 years, but I'm in a situation where I am no longer able to fund this on my own. There is no team or company behind The Bug Genie - the project relies solely on donations and support contract purchases. Please, make a donation or even buy a support contract to help fund continued development and to keep the servers and services running.
